Image to 3D
The Image to 3D tool turns a single product or character photo into a 3D model you can preview, download, and use in compositions or game engines. It is powered by Trellis 2.
What You Get
- A
.glbmesh file with textures baked in (download or stream-preview in the browser) - An interactive 3D preview with rotate / zoom / pan
- Optional re-export at different qualities
Inputs
| Input | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Source image | Yes | PNG, JPG, or WebP. Single object or character on a clean background works best. |
| Quality preset | Yes | Controls polygon count and texture resolution |
| Style prompt | Optional | Short text guidance for ambiguous shapes |
tip
Run the image through the Background Remover first if your subject has a busy background. Clean silhouettes produce noticeably cleaner meshes.
Credit Cost
| Quality | Credits | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 250 | Web previews, mood boards, low-poly placements |
| High | 350 | Marketing renders, AR/3D commerce, hero assets |
The cost is fixed per generation and is not per second.
Tips
- Symmetrical objects (bottles, packaging, simple characters) reconstruct most reliably.
- Reflective and transparent materials (glass, chrome) often produce artifacts; bake them with a matte material instead.
- Multiple angles improve quality. If you need a multi-view input, use the Multi-Angle Creator first and feed the result into Image to 3D.
