Characters
Character assets let you maintain a consistent identity -- face, body, style -- across all your AI-generated content. Once you create a character, you can reference it in any workflow or AI Suite tool to ensure the same person or figure appears each time.
What Are Characters?
A character asset is a reference image (or set of images) that defines what a specific person or figure looks like. When you attach a character to a generation workflow, the AI uses that reference to maintain visual consistency across every output.
This is especially useful for:
- Brand ambassadors who appear across multiple campaigns
- Recurring characters in social media content series
- Consistent personas for marketing materials
Creating a Character
- Navigate to Assets in the sidebar.
- Click Upload and select one or more reference images of the character. Multiple angles and expressions improve consistency.
- Choose Character as the asset type.
- Give the character a name and optional description.
- Click Save.
To find your characters later, use the Characters filter chip at the top of the library.
Upload at least 3-5 reference images showing different angles and expressions. This gives the AI more data to work with and produces more accurate results across varied poses and settings.
Using Characters in Workflows
You can reference a character asset in Flow Studio by:
- Adding an Asset Node to your workflow canvas.
- Selecting the character from your asset library.
- Connecting the asset node to a generation node.
The generation node will use the character reference to maintain identity consistency in the output.
